INVITATION FOR PREQUALIFICATION OFCONTRACTORS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF ADDITIONAL THREE LANE BRIDGE WITH ITS APPROACHES ACROSS RIVER TAPI ON NH-8 IN GUJARAT STATE

1.The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), wishes to take up the "Construction of Additional Three Lane Bridge with its approaches across River Tapi" on NH-8 in the state of Gujarat.

1	Construction of additional Three Lane Bridge with its approaches (with Footpaths on Left side only) and improvement of the existing Bridge proper and its approaches across River Tapi in km. 246/4-8 on NH-8 in Ahmedabad - Mumbai section in the state of Gujarat.	30 Crores

2. Experienced and competent contractors of repute are invited for pre-qualification for "the Works". The invitation is open to all eligible contractors. Joint venture of more than two firms are not acceptable.

3. The period of completion of work shall be of 24 months.

4. Pre-Qualification documents can be obtained in all working days from 7^th May 2002 during office hours from the address for communication mentioned below on payment of documents fee of Rs. 30,000/- each in the form of a Demand Draft drawn in favour of National Highways Authority of India, payable at Delhi/New Delhi or downloaded from NHAI's website at http://www.nhai.org. The documents can be downloaded, filled up and submitted to NHAI alongwith the documents fee. Downloaded PQ documents submitted without documents fee will be summarily rejected. Request for mailing of documents will be entertained only on receipt of additional Rs. 1000/-. However, NHAI will not be responsible for any postal delay/loss in transit.

5.The last date of submission of completed Pre-qualification Documents is 27^thMay 2002.

6. NHAI reserve the right to accept or reject any/late application without assigning any reason.
