BID INVITATION NOTICE NO. 1/2002, dated 19.1.2002
1. Sealed bids are invited to franchise the toll fee collection right for the "Bridge across river Krishna (Kanakadurgamma Varadhi) near Vijayawada onChennai-Vijayawada Section of NH-5" for a period of 1 year from 1.4.2002. The National Highways Authority of India reserves the right to hand over the toll gate prior to 1.4.2002 or close the toll gate prior to expiry of contract without assigning any reason and in such an event, the prospective agent is liable to remit to the Authority pro-rata amount quoted in the bid.

3. Bidding Documents: The bidding documents containing terms and conditions applicable and the "Instructions to Bidders" may be obtained from the Project Director. JBIC Project Implementation Unit, Guntur on any of the working days from 28th January, 2002 to 6th February, 2002 (between 9.30 hours and 17.30 hours) on payment of an Account Payee non-refundable Demand Draft for Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) drawn on any Nationalised Bank in favour of NHAI, Guntur payable at Guntur. If the document is desired by post an additional amount of Rs. 1,000/- (Rupees One Thousand only) should be sent.

4.Submission of bids: The bids shall be accompanied by a bid security of Rs. 50 lakhs (Rupees Fifty Lakhs only) in the form of an Account Payee Demand Draft drawn on any nationalized Bank in favour of NHAI, Guntur payable at Guntur. The completed bid documents shall be submitted in sealed cover to The Project Director, National Highways Authority of India, JBIC Project Implementation Unit, 3-30-56/2, 1st Line, Brindavan Gardens, Guntur-522 006 on 7.2.2002 between 9.30 AM & 3.00 PM (IST). Bids will be opened at 16:00 hours on the same day in the office of the Project Director, National Highways Authority of India, JBIC PIU, Guntur, in the presence of the bidders representatives, who choose to attend. IN the event of the specified date of Bid Submission/Bid Opening declared a holiday for the Employer, the Bid shall be received/opened on the next official working day.
