Title Invitation for Pre-qualification of Civil Contractors
Development of adequate road connectivity to major ports in India Strengthening and Widening of National Highways and other roads

National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has been mandated to develop adequate road connectivity to major ports in India.
Proposed packages will be got executed by NHAI through its Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs). SPVs will be the "Employer". NHAI on behalf of SPVs intends to prequalify firms/ JVs for the civil work for following contract packages :

Pre-qualification is open to contracting firms and voluntarily formed joint ventures. Only firms and/or joint ventures pre-qualified under this procedure will be invited to bid at a subsequent date.
Pre-qualification documents can be obtained between 1000 hrs and 1700 hrs on all working days from the address for communication mentioned below on payment of document fee of Rs. 25,000/- in the manner described below or downloaded from NHAI's Website at http://www.nhai.org. The pre-qualification document can also be obtained by post / courier upon a written request accompanied by the cost of pre-qualification document in the form of a Demand Draft favoring National Highways Authority of India, and payable at New Delhi. In this case, an additional sum of Rs. 250/- for postage should be sent along with the request.
The request for the pre-qualification document must clearly state "Request for pre-qualification document - Port Connectivity Projects : Phase-II."
Sealed envelopes containing pre-qualification document should reach NHAI at the address for communication given below not later than 1700 hrs. on 18.01.2001 and should be clearly marked "Application for pre-qualification for Port Connectivity Projects : Phase-II."
The pre-qualification documents downloaded from web site shall be submitted to NHAI along with a document fee of Rs. 25,000/- in the form of a Demand Draft favouring National Highways Authority of India, and payable at New Delhi. Downloaded pre-qualification documents submitted without document fee will be summarily rejected.
NHAI will not be responsible for any delay in receiving the documents and reserves the right to accept/reject any or all applications without assigning any reason thereof.
