Invitation of Bid for Nellore Bypass on National Highway-5 in Andhra Pradesh State on BOT (Annuity) Basis

National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) invites applications from reputed construction contractors and project developers (Applicants) in accordance with the Bid Document (single stage bidding process with provision for post qualification) in order to select the Preferred Bidder for the BOT (Annuity) Project. The scope of work includes construction of a 4-lane bypass (of about 17 Km. length) on National Highway-5 (NH-5) around Nellore town ("Nellore Bypass") in Andhra Pradesh on Build Operate and Transfer (BOT) basis. The construction cost of the Project is estimated to be approximately Rs. 1400 million (approximately US$ 29 million).

The Concessionaire shall be responsible for the design, engineering, financing, procurement, construction, operation and maintenance of the Project under the Concession Agreement to be signed between the Concessionaire & NHAI. The Project is being developed under the Annuity Approach, which involves a fixed semi-annual payment by NHAI during the Concession Period to compensate the Concessionaire for the capital cost and operating expenses of the Project and returns thereon.
Sale of Bid Document Upto January 7,2002 on all working days between 1000 hrs. and 1700 hrs. IST
Cost of Bid Document Rs. 1,00,000/- (US $ 2080/-) in the form of a crossed Demand Draft drawn in favour of "National Highways Authority of India", pay able on any scheduled bank at New Delhi.
Last Date for submission of completed January 7,2002 upto 1700 hrs. IST Bid Document.
The Bid Document containing the Project Profile, Instructions to Bidders and Criteria for Evaluation may be obtained w.e.f. December 7, 2001 from address for Communication given below.
The Bid Document could be obtained by post/courier upon a written request accompanied by the cost of Bid Document plus courier/postal charges of Rs. 1,000/- within India and US $ 200/- for abroad. NHAI will not be responsible for any delay, loss or non-receipt of the Bid Document sent by post/courier.
